Byron Setser, MAI, is a resident of New Braunfels. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University in December of 1984, and a Master of Agriculture Degree in Land Economics and Real Estate from Texas A&M University in December, 1986.
He has qualified as an expert witness for real estate matters in Bexar County Court, Comal County District Court, and Federal Bankruptcy Court as well as several commissioner courts.
Appraisal services include for sale, purchase or lease, mortgage financing, litigation, bankruptcy, foreclosure, estate planning, undivided interest valuation, property taxation, market research and feasibility studies.
His appraisal experience includes the appraisal of vacant land, multi-family properties, office buildings, retail properties, light-industrial properties, subdivisions, and agricultural properties. His specialized appraisal assignments include numerous hotels and motels.

Scott Speck, MAI, is a resident of San Antonio. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas A&M University in May of 1984, and a Master of Agriculture Degree in Land Economics and Real Estate from Texas A&M University in December, 1985.
Mr. Speck’s appraisal experience includes vacant land, office buildings, retail centers, industrial properties, apartments, office/service centers, agricultural properties, subdivisions, and special use properties including trailer parks, food processing facilities, car washes, and mini-warehouses. This experience includes appraisals throughout the United States in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Arkansas, Louisiana, California, Florida, Alabama and Illinois. Within Texas, Southwest Appraisal Group especially focuses on the border region and South Texas. He has also had appraisal experience in Mexico.

Lana Speck has been a commercial real estate appraiser with Southwest Appraisal Group, LLC, San Antonio, Texas, since 1992. Stephanie Gonzales is a resident of San Antonio. She is an appraiser trainee with over 10 years of experience in the real estate industry. She has spent the bulk of her professional career as a research analyst for Southwest Appraisal Group, LLC since 2013. She has conducted market research for the cities of San Antonio, Laredo, and New Braunfels, and researched comparable sales data. Ms. Gonzales’ was a student of the Embrey Real Estate Finance and Development Program at University of Texas at San Antonio, and obtained her Bachelor of Business Degree in Real Estate Finance and Development in December, 2019.
